Classroom learning. Sometimes this misbehaviour is due

Classroom management is the collection of teaching strategies that promote self-regulation of students’ behaviour. If the students are fully engaged in the learning process, they will not distract themselves or their peers from learning. Educators must encourage and motivate each student to learn effectively without focusing on his behaviour. A variety of strategies can be learned to help teachers in preventing misbehaviour rather than reacting to student’s misbehaviour. In every classroom teachers have two fundamental goals, learning and order. The educational goal is achieved through students’ engagement with the instructional strategies that the teachers use to facilitate students’ learning to achieve understanding and mastering of the cognitive material. While the order goal can be determined and maintained through specific management strategies, such as establishing rules and procedures to prevent improper behaviour. Students’ misbehaviour is one of the fundamental factors within classroom management that both preservice and in-service educators encounter. Many teachers have referred their unsuccessful teaching to the amount of misbehaviour they faced in the classroom, such as avoidance of work, clowning, disturbing teaching strategies, disruptive talking, verbal abuse, rudeness to teacher, and harassing classmates. The most frequent and disruptive to instructions and learning are chatting during the lesson, since the whole class atmosphere will be affected as well as the progress of the class, so the teacher won’t teach and the students who are chatting will not understand the content of the subject matter, similarly for the other students who join the conversation, they will also misunderstand the concepts of the lesson. The students won’t be involved in learning. Sometimes this misbehaviour is due to the teacher’s character or to the teaching method used in the learning process which makes the students get bored of the lecture and start to open conversations outside the content of the topics. Nevertheless, if misbehaviour is disregarded or treated poorly, even a single act of impoliteness can have a long term effect on classroom atmosphere, and hence, misbehaviour may elevate to intolerable or dangerous levels. That’s why before taking any decision for preventing the misbehaviour, the teacher should address the type of behaviour, the time it happened, and the background of the misbehaving student. Throughout this research paper, we will examine the conceptions of student misbehaviours in a classroom and identify the most improper and unacceptable student problem behaviours, and it introduces to the teacher different classroom management strategies to prevent these misbehaving problems. In addition to that, it provides a set of skills that help teachers to have a good and effective classroom management that maximizes the students’ engagement and minimizes the disruptions and the misbehaviour problems.
